Freedom can be a good thing, but it can also be a rather bad thing sometimes, at least for me, and at least when it comes to schoolwork. Freedom as it relates to school can be incredibly beneficial. I appreciate it when professors let their students be creative and give their students a lot of autonomy with the choices we make. It gives us a chance to express ourselves in an environment where we can normally not. However, I would argue that there are multiple downsides to that freedom. Sometimes, it leads to a lot of doubt and uncertainty. For example, with Project 3, we have a good amount of freedom to turn our Project 2 into something completely different. This leaves me not knowing what to do as well as not really knowing what it should look like. If there aren’t any strict guidelines, I become doubtful of whether I am doing it right. With Project 3, I don’t know if my ideas are good or if they should be different. At the same time though, I’m happy that I have a chance to be creative and to do something different.
