As I have mentioned before, I truly believe that citing and bibliography’s and in-text citations are very important. However, it is something that has always caused me to stress and worry because I feel like no matter how hard you try, there is always room for failure. If you happen to mess one small thing up, its wrong. For example, consider all the different types of sources. The McGraw Hill Handbook and the MLA Purdue Owl website both outline how to cite sources, especially in-text citations. Each different type of source, like a book or a website or a magazine, follows a different formula, they all different ways you must do them. In this way, citing sources is very time consuming because you must make sure you are doing each one correctly. You also must make sure that in the end, all your citations look like each other in format. This is difficult because different types of sources will look differently. You also can’t always use “Easy Bib” or any other bibliography generating website because those cannot be trusted to consistently do the job right.
