Project 1 Conference Reflection

The conference for my Project 1 was a bit disheartening. I found out that I had basically done the paper completely wrong. I was writing about my community in a scholarly/academic way, when it was supposed to be much more personal. Once I found this out though, I knew what I needed to do. I got to look at some examples on the class website which really helped me and then I felt okay about my paper. I decided to change my topic completely and write about something I cared more about. Overall, even though the conference wasn't a confidence booster, it did help me realize where I went wrong and how I could fix it, so it was a good thing in the end.
