Genres and rhetoric are two important concepts that are critical to writing or creating almost any type of medium. As a student, it is often required that we write, and to write, we must convey ourselves in an effective way so that our audience, whomever it may be, understands what we are trying to say.

The idea of genre is an incredibly unique and interesting idea. The idea that an individual can express themselves and their thoughts, ideas, and emotions in so many ways is very wonderful. Genre by itself is something that is fluid and constantly changing which makes it special because it changes with writing. In the academic world; rules, theories, ideas, and standards are always changing and so genre is important because it changes with those things but it also still allows us a way to categorize ideas effectively.
